All in all, it' a great shoe for the price and I intend to continue buying from Whitin!Pros:1) Minimalist and zero-drop2) Comfortable3) Durable (put 400 running miles on them and probably have another 100 miles of tread left on them)4) Wide toe box5) Looks cool (at least I think so)6) Cheap! Purchased for $42.Cons:1) Heavy (much heavier than my Merrell VaporGloves)2) Not a true barefoot shoe in my opinion, but very minimalist and a good transition shoe3) Laces broke on first day (laces popped o

Update 2: It' been a year since I got these. I'm upgrading my rating to 5 stars. These shoes are comfy and compliant. The snugness I wasn't keen on at first doesn't seem to be present anymore. Either that, or this is how an athletic shoe is _supposed_ to feel. These are my go-to shoes for working out, now, with the exception of wearing my lifters when back/front squats are on tap for the day.I'm quite pleased with my choice. :)Update 1: I hadn't previously had a chance to spend any time in them.

This Whittin Canvas She is my second barefoot shoe. I resisted barefoot shoes for a long time because I thought they were just for young runners, but for a senior like me who cares more about comfort than fashion, they have made me a fan. However, I find it essential to wear them with orthotics. Mine are custom made. The liner in the shoes are removable. These shoes are not meant to be sturdy, supporting or even long lasting. But they are super comfortable with a toe that allows plenty of wiggle

Love these shoes. Feels like you are so connected to the earth/walking surface. So much better for your feet as you are using and strengthening all the muscles in your feet to navigate terrain. You can feel the changing surface. They are not only great for functionality but are also cute & flattering as well. I'll be purchasing another color soon. I suggest a size up.
I got these for Tai Chi as standard shoes were making my knees hurt doing the motions. These are WONDEFUL. They also look great and I get a ton of compliments on them. Useless for a walking shoe, but great shoe for specific motions and mechanics. Having wide feet it' always challenging to find shoes that fit, and these fit perfect.
I got these because I have bad supination of my feet which causes blisters to my pinky toes and Im trying to correct that with proper foot wear that promotes natural toe splay. These are perfect for the job! I wear 6-6.5 and the 6.5 fits perfectly. The toe box has a decent amount of space for my toes to splay naturally. Now I would honestly truly rate these 4.7 out of 5 because at first the collar of the shoe feels rough at first so I definitely recommend wearing socks.
Nice and worth the money. Light weight and very comfortable. True to size and they have enough room for heavy socks plus a shoe liner if necessary. They're pretty warm by themselves, but I'm a big believer that the more between you and the cold ground, the better. Not sure how they would hold up to sub zero, but I have much heavier boots for that. The quality seems as good as most athletic shoes I've had. I would say these are a great, warm boot for probably 95% of winter here near Chicago. Thei

Wow, these exceeded my expectations! I was looking to replace a pair of worn out moccasin ankle boots. I ordered and tried three different moccasin ankle boots from three different makers and had to return them all. They were terrible- one far too long and narrow, another swallowed my feet, despite my wide size, and the other made my ankles look like toothpicks propped in a wide yawning black hole. I had these particular WHITIN boots saved for several months and kept hesitating because I really

Product is as advertised. The average person will not use them for hiking, much less running (per se,) I wouldnt, but walk the dog around the block - absolutely. To take the trash out to the street - most certainly. Wear around the house - most definitely.First and foremost, they are comfortable. I'm used to having orthotics in my athletic shoes. I have high arches, and at one time had fasciitis. If you're going to be on your feet a long time, you would miss not having any arch support and a

These are good, basic sneakers for transitioning to barefoot shoes, or if you're just looking for some wide shoes.Good room in the toe for most feet, although if you have extra wide feet, you may find them wanting. The fabric is less forgiving than the mesh version, or even the other canvas version. The uppers are stiffer, and therefore tighter in the forefoot and midfoot. Where my other two pairs of Whitins didn't pinch my foot right underneath the toe joint, these do. I expect they'll loosen up
These are super lightweight and look great. The toe box is roomy but I found a little pinching near the instep. Not too tight or uncomfortable but a little pinch. The fabric will expand -- a day wear with thicker socks solved the pinching for me. The insole has a teeny tiny amount of cushioning but the shoe overall is really stable when working out or walking. Overall, I really like these for the stylish look and super lightweight nature

These are the third pair of Whitin shoes I have bought. So far I am loving the Whitin brand of barefoot wide shoes. For reference, my foot shape is a gentle slope, wide fan, with narrow heels and skinny ankles. They measure 24.7cm long by 10.5cm wide. Very much pizza shaped or duck feet shaped. I have a medium volume instep that becomes low volume through my midfoot and toes.I also have bunions by each of my big toes with the left one slightly larger than the right and these shoes, once broken i

They feel good, they look good, they are good. Just know that if it' wet outside they don't have the best traction. But that' when you're supposed to pull out the boots anyhow.
